This year we are launching the Zimmer + Rohde Interior Contract Award. This award is our way of appreciating your creative work in planning and decorating new buildings or renovating existing structures using outstanding textiles.
Zimmer + Rohde is going to present the Zimmer + Rohde Interior Contract Awards for the first time in 2013 in response to the growing demand for custom textile designs. The panel of judges will include: Anne Maria Jagdfeld, Hadi Teherani, MatteoThun, Axel Venn, Tobias Lutz and Andreas Henke. This award is our way of appreciating your creative work in planning and decorating new buildings or renovating existing structures using outstanding textiles. Unlike existing international awards, our competition focuses on individual, holistic, textile-based interior design.

New Zimmer + Rohde Collection
Geometrics
Inspired by the geometry of ethnic motifs, influenced by elements from art and nature GEOMETRICS presents textile creations which are both elegant and timeless.
Geometric forms are to be found everywhere in our daily lives. They give structure to space, shape rooms, create patterns that we see and feel and they set clear parameters. Zimmer + Rohde have chosen to interpret this fascinating interplay of shapes in its new Spring Collection in a wealth of varieties. Inspired by the geometry of ethnic motifs, influenced by elements from art and nature GEOMETRICS presents textile creations which are both elegant and timeless.
GRAPHICS is based on the early works of Mondrian. A decorative furnishing fabric, this beautiful satin features clear horizontal and vertical lines on a base weave which shimmers like wrought metal. A stylish silk, CALEIDO makes a statement for colour. Graphic ethnic designs in lime, emerald green and china blue form a bold contrast to the silver background. The delightful texture and depth of this silk jacquard will bring modern sophistication to any interior.
The jewel of the GEOMETRICS collection is CRYSTAL. A noble silk in a graphic design which takes its inspiration from the expertly worked facets of a gem. Costly yarns combine with expressive forms, an interplay of precious materials against a background of rich chocolate or shining silver. OCTAGON is an upholstery fabric which takes its name from the geometric shape. It is a symmetrical jacquard design that plays with the effects of light and shadow. Available in a wide range of shades it is an ideal coordinate. The GEOMETRICS collection unites distinct stylistic elements with the shades and textures of exquisite fabrics. The result is a dialogue which captures the imagination.

Zimmer + Rohde’s second OUTDOOR or IN collection takes indoors out, making outdoors a particularly comfortable part of your home. Whether on the patio, next to the pool or in the garden, now all of your senses can enjoy the sun, wind and rain without having to make compromises. Elegance is in. FINCA, an upholstery fabric with a generous solid stripe, cries out to be used to cover relaxing outdoor lounge chairs. While SOLARIS, an ideal fabric for decorative accessories, immediately brings the flair of summer in bold pink and orange or turquoise and grey.
But the OUTDOOR or IN collection is also ideal for indoors. The fabrics are especially suited to rooms which get a lot of light and where there is a lot of life. Outstandingly functional, bright, just perfect. What adds a special charm to this collection are thenew trimmings. A multi-coloured satin ribbon and decorative tassels add class to furniture, cushions and curtains. They add extravagance and individuality to plain fabrics. Use your imagination – there are no limits. Naturally, care and use of the trimmings is uncomplicated, just as with the fabrics. Juxtaposing silky and mat fibres withinits materials PAMIR’s textile compositions exude a freewheeling shimmery elegance. In this vibrant and luminous odeto the art of colour there is daring and impertinence that offer opportunities to create atmospheres with strongpersonality!
ULYSSEEvoking stories of lands as they meet the seas and deep ocean adventures, the stripes, embroideries and prints of the ULYSSE collection float in the wind like seafaring tales. These fresh, dynamic textiles with seaside atmospheres of holiday homes also add a certain chic to relaxed lofts or houses with a reworked classic mood. Stripes in differentscales, a floral-nautical motif and graphic embroidery can easily be combined with JULES and JADE, two comfortable, timeless Faux-Uni weaves offered in many colours. The focus of the ULYSSE collection is on linen - an ancient fibre -as a ground for embroidery in Dunes , a print base for Flots, in structured yarns for Chimère or Craie, slightly open worked for Songe and in discreet blends for transparent curtains. A quick escape to an energetic, elegantuniverse in a straightforward palette of blue, red, grey, taupe and ochre associated with ecru, white or linen.
JULES - JADEThese essential Faux-Uni seating fabrics are comfortable and resistant: either for the ikat-style, bayadere stripes of Jules or the sober basketweave effects of JADE. These smooth mellow jacquard fabrics can be combined easily with the PAMIR and ULYSSE patterns and with previous ETAMINE collections.

The new Travers Collection was inspired by a design trip to India where our designer attended an exhibit on the famous fashion photographer, Norman Parkinson, called “Pink is the Navy Blue of India.”
The Travers STANMORE collection is a four book series introducing spring of 2013. The collection was inspired by a design trip to India where our designer attended an exhibit on the famous fashion photographer, Norman Parkinson, called “Pink is the Navy Blue of India.” He had the uncanny ability to juxtapose fashion with architecture and nature. Influenced by the amazing relationship between colour and design, the beauty of the STANMORE collection was created.
Parkinson had a long association with British and American Vogue; in a career that spanned seven decades, Norman Parkinson dazzled the world with his sparkling inventiveness as a fashion photographer. His impulsiveness and unstructured style changed forever the static, posed approach to fashion photography, this was the unexpected style he brought to the fashion world. Mosaic motifs, architectural structures, and the exotic colour vitality of the photos and the textile designs transports the user on a visual journey.
The STANMORE collection evokes effortless elegance, and a sense of the unexpected with three dimensional laser cut floral motifs appliqued on linen paring with sumptuous jacquard velvets, silk chine prints, and fresh cotton percale grounds for prints. Three dimensional effects, highlighting hand stitchery techniques for embroideries, and colour combinations, such as: raspberry, coral, mandarin, slate, powder blues, silver greys and truffle translate beautifully into the prints, wovens and embroideries offering the designer a plethora of options.

The pulse of the city and cultural diversity of urban life define the bed linen spring collection of Zimmer + Rohde by Schlossberg. Elegance andmodernity are reflected in contemporary interior design, which merges the atmosphere and style of modern metropolises.
The design BRUSH, an expressive, painterly checked pattern on sophisticated satin base, impresses with its fine print and details. The broad brush strokes look as if they had been freshly applied. While BRUSH beige surprises with modern, expressive colours, BRUSH blanc presents itself in a somewhat more subtle, pastel version. Quality: Satin Finesse and Jersey Royal.
Inspired by old engravings, PANORAMA shows a mysterious landscape with finely drawn meadows, shrubs and trees. Through the choice of interlaces, this pattern has a grained structure and a special feel. With its dark blue and light rose-coloured weft, PANORAMA bleu is reminiscent of a night scene bathed in gentle moonlight. The variant PANORAMA viola combines a powdery silver lilac with natural beige, PANORAMA beige contrasts a landscape bathed in gold with fresh turquoise weft. Quality: Jacquard Deluxe.
The design ODIN is decorated with ellipses arranged in a regular pattern. The surface plays with a matt-gloss effect between satin background and oval motifs. The glossy borders of the ellipses create a sophisticated three-dimensional effect, giving the design a modern look. ODIN viola combines a subtle rosé in the background with sand colour, ODIN gris a fine silver grey with natural white and ODIN beige combines a light beige with an elegant pastel pink. METROPOLITAN interprets graphically created canyons and is reminiscent of modern architecture with its rectangular elements. The rigor and clarity is subtly dissolved by the fabric structure in the horizontal and vertical motifs. URBAN RHYTHM – the new autumn collection from Zimmer + Rohde – is inspired by the cultural diversity of urban living, with expressive designs in vibrant colours.
New York, Hong Kong, London, Milan, Paris and Berlin are the world’s vibrant cities where people stream through urban avenues and canyons. Life unfurls over the background noise of the urban bustle; vivid, multifarious and mobile. Whether it’s fashion or music, art or design, the asphalt of the big city is a hotbed for individuality and creativity.
In cafés, galleries and clubs, people from the most diverse backgrounds meet, each with their own individual life stories. Different cultures and mentalities collide with one another, mix and unite. And so appears URBAN RHYTHM – the new autumn collection from Zimmer + Rohde inspired by the cultural diversity of urban living – with expressive designs in vibrant colours.
With the eye-catching BRUSH, a modern, checked interpretation has been achieved that plays with elements of contemporary painting. The bold brushstrokes and powerful colours are reminiscent of a trip to the Museum of Modern Art. By contrast, SKYLINE portrays the elegant, glassy facades of skyscrapers. Vertical stripes, broken by horizontal elements, create the impression of standing in the centre of the urban canyons of downtown Manhattan.
The illuminated windows of skyscrapers are the stars of the city and the inspiration behind CITY LIGHTS, the ultra light ‘Scherli’ weave whose iridescent points appear to shine on a transparent background.
Clear geometric designs on contemporary fabrics absorb the creative energy of the city and transform the new Urban Rhythm collection into homage to the pulsating life of the big city.

This year’s Ardecora collection entitled LES ANNÈES FOLLES has been inspired by the twenties when life in the cities of Berlin, Paris, London and New York was flourishing.
Art, culture, and science blossomed in the 1920’s, encouraged by a renewed zest for life. Significant artists such as Picasso and Matisse, emerging glamorous film stars and designers like Coco Chanel and Madeleine Vionnet revolutionized and made a lasting mark on their era. This year’s Ardecora collection entitled LES ANNÈES FOLLES has been inspired by that era when life in the cities of Berlin, Paris, London and New York was flourishing.
LES ANNÈES FOLLES incorporates the search for new, avant-garde forms of artistic expression. In this way, the expressive decorative fabric DADA showcases itself lavishly and spectacularly with stylized ornamental elements. Silk materials that flow softly steal the limelight in the manner of Marlene Dietrich and Josephine Baker, to whom we dedicate fabrics that are sumptuous to the touch.
The BROADWAY piece was conceived with elegance and glamour in mind with its graphic design ensuring timeless sophistication. Its embroidery and shimmering hand-applied sequins give this fabric the luxury characteristic of 1920’s haute couture. This is mirrored in the special TWENTIES finish that reflects light in a unique manner.
MOULIN ROUGE interprets the creative atmosphere of that legendary cabaret in a contemporary and subtle fashion: the graphic art deco embroidery on silk organza with rich satin strips is particularly expressive and lavish. The choice of colours on a light changing silk base with sublime relief embroidery lend the GREAT GATSBY, with its satin and taffeta strips, an extravagant and refined radiance.
The LES ANNÈES FOLLES collection captivates with its subtle design and high-quality fabrics, which remain true to the Ardeco ra line’s characteristically sensuous and discerning style.

SANCTUARY is the new wallcovering collection for the elegant interior from Zimmer + Rohde. With its intimate character it complements our EVOLUTION collection.
The textile surfaces in this series create very personal and exclusive atmospheres, not only in private spaces but also in bars, lounges and boutique hotels.
Nine items will captivate you with very different looks and colourings. The palette ranges from silky structures, embroidered leather and precious, hand-finished moiré surfaces to subtly woven landscapes with a refined overall effect. Depending on the design and use, various colour schemes are available. In addition to classic tones, there are colour accents from the world of fashion, such as lemon, aqua, silver and taupe.

TRAVERS introduces its Spring 2012 collection, with inspiration from diverse cultural experience; composed in four unique collections: EQUINOX, ANTALYA, BODRUM and ODESSA (WARNER FABRICS).
EQUINOX, a time of equal day and night, describes the illumination of a universal colour palette. The daylight is reflective of bright, vibrant colours such as pinkberry, parrot green, and turquoise blue, complemented with the rich evening colours of cocoa, dark ink of the midnight sky and silvery cream of moonlight. The celestial ambience is achieved with the introduction of five patterns that make a great dynamic impact. This concentrated grouping of designs consists of velvets, silks and dramatic jacquards that pare well with hues that eclipse day and night, there is find a perfect balance in the EQUINOX collection.
ANTALYA — With the introducing of our largest print assortment to date for TRAVERS, this document inspired collection, takes its origin from the TRAVERS design studio. It offers various design scales and motifs from ikat, Jacobean, florals, tree of life, and fleur de lis damasks printed on natural ground clothes with an extraordinary relax hand and drape-ability. The revival of classic designs, a freshen colour palette married with technological finishing advancements has played a role into breathing new life into this TRAVERS collection. This classic revival introduces the new traditional to the design community in a luxurious way!
BODRUM is a comprehensive upholstery collection inclusive of velvets, jacquards, small-scale designs, skins and solids. The BODRUM collection will complement the prints from ANTALYA and silks from EQUINOX, offering a full range of designs to complete the designer’s story.
ODESSA – the new WARNER collection. ODESSA continues the global journey to the Eastern ports with the delicate, whimsical stitchery of TREE BREEZE; a splendid hand block print, SUZANI, and the coordinating colourful kaleidoscope stripe, MARLOWE STRIPE. A collection staple, MARLOWE PLAIN , compliments the colour palette within each design establishing continuity, a punch of colour and welcome additions to any room setting.
